The first option is repainting. This is often the first on people’s minds too, given that it’s the cheapest. It’s fair to say this is the biggest advantage of repainting your house too. Compared to the other options, it will definitely save you money for the short term.
Repainting your home is quick and relatively easy. It can be completed as a DIY job if you have access to a suitable ladder, along with the right paint and brushes. Or you can get a professional to take care of it for a small extra cost.

Unfortunately, that does come at a cost. Re-rendering your walls means removing the existing render. It also requires fixtures like soffits, fascia boards and gutters to be removed, before the new render is applied in multiple layers.
As a result, re-rendering is the most expensive of the three options. In fairness, there’s an argument to say it’s still more cost-effective than re-painting, as you won’t need to continually refresh your render over the years – so you get more back for your investment.
