O’Neill Plastering, part of the CorkSol Independent Applicator Network, have recently completed work on a project in Huddersfield.
This end terrace property had stone mullions which were causing cold spots and thermal bridging. As a result, condensation was settling on the walls and causing black spot mould to form. Not only was this unsightly for the homeowners, but it is also hazardous to health.
O’Neill Plastering were able to offer SprayCork as a solution to solve the cold bridging and prevent the growth of mould, with two internal coats and three thin coats applied externally. And because it is a solid wall property, the customer would also gain the thermal benefits that cork provided.
Rick O’Neill, owner of O’Neill Plastering, explained why he proposed SprayCork for this project - “When I visited the property and saw the mould, it was obvious that SprayCork was the best solution as it would eliminate cold spots and make the rooms warmer”
The homeowner agreed, stating that “the rooms are now feeling much warmer and we no longer have condensation forming. So we’re happy with the outcome”.
